Mornese è un luogo estremamente interessante sotto il profilo naturalistico ed ambientale; non a caso la maggior parte del territorio è ricoperto da boschi.

Grazie a questa sua caratteristica, è possibile intraprendere passeggiate di notevole interesse.

Il primo luogo in cui consigliamo di recarsi è la pineta, che offre la possibilità di passeggiate a piedi e a cavallo. Procedendo per la strada che conduce ai Mazzarelli, terminata Via Roma, sulla destra si prende Via San Carlo, fino a quando non ci si ritrova a un trivio.

Se si svolta a destra, si entra nel percorso verde seguendo la costa del monte in leggera salita, attraversando un bosco rado e luminoso che offre vedute incantevoli.

Se da S. Carlo si svolta a sinistra, si arriva ai Pianoni o meglio al Pian Ferlei, uno spiazzo in mezzo ai pini che permette di giocare a pallone o di fermarsi per un meritato riposo.

Se invece da San Carlo si procede per la strada principale, superata la cascina Mezza Montà, si giunge a un grande spiazzo, oltre il quale scorre il torrente Roverno, dove un tempo le donne venivano a lavare i panni. A sinistra dello spiazzo si trova un pietrone, il pietrone della Santa.

Mornese is an extremely interesting place in terms of its naturalistic and environmental characteristics. Not by chance the most part of the territory is covered by forests.

Thanks to this characteristic it is possible to undertake walks of considerable interest.

The first place we recommend to go to is the pine grove, where you can both walk and do horse-riding. Proceeding on the road which leads to Mazzarelli, after Via Roma, on the right you take Via San Carlo, until you find yourself at the junction.

If you turn to the right, you enter the green path following the upstream mountain slope, crossing sparse and radiant forest which offers lovely views.

If you turn to the left from San Carlo, you will come to the Pianoni or better to the Pian Ferlei, an open space in the midst of pine grove that allows you to play football or stop for a well-deserved rest.

If, instead, from San Carlo you proceed along the main road, after surpassing the Mezza Montà farmstead you reach a large open space beyond which flows the river Roverno, where women once washed the clothes. To the left of the open space there is a rock, the rock of the Saint.
