L’oratorio festivo nel cortile del fratello di Angela Maccagno è già operativo nel 1864 quando Don Bosco si reca a Mornese. L’impegno di avvicinarsi a Gesù e di farlo conoscere segna tutte le tappe del cammino di Maria: «Condurre tante anime a Gesù» è lo scopo della sua missione di educatrice e di formatrice.

 Le fonti documentano la finalità ed il contenuto dell’accompagnamento formativo: esso si pone come mediazione che orienta e favorisce l’incontro con il Signore Gesù per aiutare i giovani ad accedere ad una dimensione interiore nuova e più profonda.

Maria può dire di voler vivere e operare «affinché Cristo sia formato in voi». Per lei è comunicare in semplicità e gioia il tesoro che ha ricevuto e di cui vive, cioè l’esperienza del conoscere e amare Gesù. è un guidare alla sorgente.

The festive oratory in the courtyard of Angela Maccagno’s brother is already in operation in 1864 when Don Bosco goes to Mornese. The commitment to draw near to Jesus and to make Him known marks all the stages of Maria’s journey: “To lead many souls to Jesus” is the purpose of her mission as an educator and a trainer.

The sources document the objective and the contents of formative accompaniment: it comes as a mediation which directs and encourages the encounter with the Lord Jesus in order to help young people to gain access to a new and deeper inner perspective.

Maria, one can say, wants to live and work “so that Christ may be in you”. For her to communicate in a simple way is the joy, the treasure which she has received and from which she lives, that is to say the experience of knowing and loving Jesus. It is a guide to the spring.
